Sown Field off of Old Albany Road

There is a two lane road between Lake Blackshear and Cordele, Georgia, that meanders past cotton fields, rolling hills, forgotten wild patches and red dirt dead ends. Off of one of those red dirt roads was spread a field of white fluff and right next to it sat its kin: the sown field. Some would say it looked forlorn, but I saw work well done and the promise of the next productive year or perhaps a restful year of fallow pursuits: birds and mice, farmers and the occasional stray visitor, like me.

The print is of very fine quality printed on heavy, cotton paper.

The original piece is on loan at the Q Gallery through December, 2020. Prints will ship out within two business days.
