Some of the foothills of the Cascade Range are large enough to be called “mountains” themselves: Tiger Mountain, Cougar Mountain, Little Mt Si, etc. When the mists roll in from the Salish Sea and the clouds stack up from the formidable heights of the mountains, precipitation arrives - liberally.
